• 1 to 4 September 2008 - International Riversymposium - The Future of Extremes - Australia's largest annual river management forum. Delegates will explore the challenges associated with the increased incidence of flooding and drought expected with climate change in future years. • 1 September to 16 October 2008 - Tiwest Night Stalk - a national citizen-based spotlight survey to determine numbers and distribution of Australian native species and feral pests. • 29 August to 13 September 2008 - Edith Stein - Presented by the Villanova Players. The German philosopher, Edith Stein, was born a Jew, became a Catholic in 1922, and then a Carmelite nun in 1934. This play traces her journey and explores the tensions between Catholics and Jews during World War II. 2008 marks 10 years since Edith Stein was recognised as a saint.
